Measuring the Lid Weight: - Open the lid/window/door to the desired height. - Mark the upper mounting point A. - The distance between points A and C should be about 1/5 of the lid width. - Adjust point A slightly if needed. - Use a scale and a stick to measure the weight at point A.

Note: - If installing a pair of gas struts on both sides, choose a 100-lb gas strut if the scale reads 90-110 lbs. - If installing a single gas strut, choose a 110-120 lb gas strut if the scale reads 100 lbs.
